Baby Food in the form of Meat
I have a question for all the moms out there that know more than I do. McKenna has gone through all of her veggies and started on fruits about a week ago. So when should I start her on the mushy meat product? She still has no teeth and I'm worried that Grandpa Braegger will have to make some dentures for her:) Anyway please fill me in on any suggestions. I really appreciate all the advice, believe me I need it-Have a great day

i think i gave brailyn one meat a day once she would eat the veggies. the meat dinners were good, with added veggies (as you can tell i'm big on nutrition) so there's my advice.
thanks for the note and finding our blog! it's always fun to find old friends and keep track via blogstalking...
Good luck, my kids so far have not touched the meat babyfoods. So my opinion is if they eat it, give it to'em. (As long as you curb the junk food to a minimum).
Melissa, have you smelled the meat baby food? I think you should put it off as long as possible!
That being said, babies love that mushy yuck! I did all the blends with all of my kids. Chicken and veggies were favorites of all of my kiddos. She's definitely old enough to try it. If she likes it great. If not, get the blender out and start making up your own foods. The bottom line is you are in charge and whatever feels right to you and doesn't make her cry is the right thing to do.
Good luck!!
now this is coming from my experience, which isn't much...as long as she is eating the veggies I would start her on the veggie and meat combo. I believe they are Gerber Stage 2. Oh and watch out, they don't smell all that well. But my little guy seemed to enjoy it. Get a couple and see how she does. If she doesn't like it, you can always keep the other jars until she is ready for it. That is one thing baby's are good at is lettig you know if they like it or not. Good luck! and Merry Christmas!
I basically gave my kids whatever they would eat once they got used to all the fruits and veggies. My kids liked the meat/veggie combos too. Never gave them just meat. It looked way too disgusting to me. Anyways, your family is adorable. Merry Chrismtas! Oh and would you be willing to switch bunko. I would love to do March if you could do April. That's just getting a little too close to my due date. Let me know or we'll talk at the next bunko.
I have no idea! Elisa couldn't have baby food until she was 8 months (she had GERD and choking issues), so we didn't start the meats till much later. Wesley had teeth, so no prob there. Anni was a late-teeth bloomer, but since she was on the special formula for a bit(with being born 6 weeks early) we didn't start the goods until she was older, also.
If I were you, I would probably just go for it and try giving her a few small bites and see how she does. Good luck!!
